Diverse Directions is a limited liability company, registered in the US state of Vermont and operated by partners David Parker and Stephen Taylor.
Since 2000, we have been producing, selling, and supporting self-guided bicycle tour packages that include everything needed to enjoy independent cycling adventures in some of France's most
beautiful regions. In each region, Diverse Directions is blessed with highly dedicated, competent, bilingual support staff whose only goal is the delight of our customers.
As a market innovator, we are committed to offering our customers a common sense, economical alternative to our competitors' expensive, cookie-cutter approach to bicycle touring. Because
we focus exclusively on satisfying the unique needs of the independent bicycle tourist, our products and services reflect an unparalleled understanding of
those needs and our unwavering commitment to satisfying them.
Diverse Directions was born of our own love of cycling, having been inspired by our first life-changing independent cycling tours in Europe. In 1998 we spent four weeks cycling our own
itinerary across southern France, from Bordeaux to Avignon. In 1999 we took on the continent, spending 8 weeks cycling from Amsterdam to Vienna.
In addition to having traveled extensively in Europe, we have also had the opportunity to live in France. What an experience! We stayed for 2 years, living
in a 15th century priory called Haute Fayette, during which time we continued to build Diverse Directions while learning more about the complexities of French
culture than we thought possible.
In 2008, we began offering self-guided bicycle tours in Southern Vermont's Windham County,
where Diverse Directions is currently based. Like France, Vermont is rich in history, pristine landscapes, friendly live-and-let-live people, and an appreciation for a slower pace of life and for the gifts of the land.
As such, we've found that our customers fall in love with Vermont for all the same reasons bicycle tourists have been falling in love with France for years.

Partners David and
Stephen also jointly own and operate Two Rivers Cottage, a tourist accommodation located
at the confluence of the West and Rock Rivers in beautiful Newfane, Vermont.
