  • Roundtrip cycling distances for day trips (spokes) range from 22 - 55 miles (35 - 87 km), and include options for adding distance and challenge. Day trips can also be shortened.

  • Tours with 2 base locations are 7 days / 8 nights. Tour documentation includes 7 to 11 day trip options.

  • Tours with 1 base location are 5 days / 6 nights. Tour documentation includes 5 to 8 day trip options.

Hub & Spoke Tours are the right choice of itinerary for:

  • persons who prefer not  to change hotels frequently,

  • persons who seek the freedom to determine on which days they'll cycle and for how long a distance they'll cycle,

  • couples that have different levels of cycling skill or enthusiasm, and

  • traveling parties that include non-cyclists and therefore need alternative activities like non-cycling sightseeing excursions.

To serve traveling parties that include non-cyclists, Diverse Directions partners with local tour operators that offer a variety of fun and interesting personalized driving tours in the area. These half-day trips include hotel pick-up and return and the exclusive services of a knowledgeable guide. Destinations include many of the sights described in the cycling itineraries, as well as opportunities to cruise and /or canoe on some of the regions' rivers. Of course, excursions are always open to cyclists who need or want a day out of the saddle!
